2000 calories is the recommended daily intake.

Eating 1200 calories will likely mean your missing out on vital foods you need for your body, proteins for example, carbs for energy etc.

And there&#039;s no definite calculation to figure out how many calories you&#039;ve burnt off after exercising, only an estimation that you should do about 45 mins reasonably exercise a day.

So yeah, 1200 calories is unhealthy for your body and will cause muscle fatigue and problems alongside possible malnutrition in the long term.

And as a side note, calorie watching most of the time doesn&#039;t really help. Just so anyone knows - eating healthily most of the time will guarantee weight loss if used with exercise. I would say a healthy breakfast, lunch + dinner would be about 1600-1800 calories.</description>

Nah, make sure you give your body a break though. When I was losing weight I aimed for  1000-1300 Cal&#039;s a day plus as long as possible in the gym. If you can stick to this diet you will be there in no time.

Make sure you get your RDI for all essential vitamins and nutrients. Skip carbs completely and increase your protein uptake. You will feel tired as for a while, then your body will adjust to the lower needs and fat will be burnt.

The whole point of dieting is lowering you energy intake so that your body has to resort to burning off fat... to a point. if you stave yourself your body realizes and shuts down most functions.

Aim for 5-6 meals a day and spread them over the whole day. That way your body never realizes that its taking in less food. That&#039;s how you get into the fat burning &quot;zone&quot;</description>
