Is it healthy to add 5 pounds each workout?

hey. I am bench pressing 260 pounds and i workout every other day and every workout i add 5 pounds to my max. So yesterday i benched 260 and tomorrow i will bench 265. i started this month benching about 205 or so and have worked my way up.

Need to lose weight?

    yes it sure is, aslong as your not hurting yourself by adding 5 pounds each workout. if you are starting to feel pain, dont add anymore weight to it EVERY workout, add 5 pounds to it ever SECOND workout.
