Is 1000 calories a day too much to lose weight?

I usually consume less than 1000 calories a day, in about 5-6 meals. I drink lots of water and am going to start working out.

Is this a good fast way to lose weight? All I eat is about 4 raw eggs a day and some other carbohydrate foods. How long will it take to lose some weight using this method AND heavy weight lifting (intervals) ?

    Exercise and Weight Loss

    1000 calories is too little, especially since you’re working out too. Add around 500 to that.

    4 raw eggs… gross. 1000 calories a day is only going to slow your metabolism, make you lose your hair and cause you to gain weight the second you stop with this diet. You need at least 1300 calories a day to lose weight.

    Need to lose weight?

    1000 is definitely not enough! My boyfriend is also trying to lose weight and his doctor told him to eat 1600 calories a day. Aren’t you hungry?! If you keep eating only 1000 calories a day, you are going to make yourself sick.
